Extraction Coffee Co. – Experimenting with the recipe

As we noted in a previous post, we are starting a business. Extraction Coffee Co. will be a celebration of coffee focused on a traditional model of customer service that harkens back to days when the milkman would deliver his product personally to your door.

For those of you who have ever ordered a cold press from a Starbucks or Caribou – this is not that. Extraction Coffee Co. cold brew is a coffee concentrate. It is made with single origin, locally roasted beans, ground with specificity, and steeped until the flavors are “just so”. When poured into a glass and paired with your choice of cold or hot water, or milk – with a ratio of 1:3 – 1:4 – this concentrate produces an incredibly smooth and decadent cup of coffee.

Right now, CJ and I are enjoying the most fun part of the process – perfecting the recipe and taste testing the results! Below are some photos of our progress thus far:
